Chi Running and Yoga Workshop

Join Master Kuan Chen and Yoga and Wellness specialist Cathy Rowe, for this introspective journey on Chi, your body, running and the proper Yoga stretches to heal and recover. This is a 4 week journey involving body mind and spirit renewal and growth. We will meet for four consecutive Sundays from 8:30-10:00am. Our first session will be led by Master Kuan as he discusses chi, its functions and how this energy helps us in our performance with running, injury prevention and self care. Each week will be a schedule run using the basic chi principles and technique, followed by a yoga stretch – heal and recover sequence to aid the body. Therapeutic grade essential oils will be introduced to enhance the overall healing effect on tired working muscles.

Price is drop in or 0 paid in full for all 4 sessions.

Dates are as follows: June 7th, 14th, 21st and June 28th.

Our scheduled runs are as follows:

• Week 1 (6/7): Principles of Chi discussion By Master Kuan Chen 8:30-9:15am followed by introduction to yoga sequence.

• Week 2 (6/14): 2 mile run using Chi principles and application followed by Yoga cool down and stretch sequence. Aromatherapy oils to heal and recover.

• Week 3 (6/21): 3 mile run. Same schedule to follow… Yoga and aromatherapy cool down.

• Week 4 (6/28): 4~5 mile run depending on abilities and goals of individuals followed by yoga and aromatherapy oils. Complimentary refreshments at close of last class to enhance health and wellness.
